How it works
Is your phone a problem?
Seven questions. Two minutes. One honest answer.
We’ve all heard a lot about how phones are bad for our mental health the last couple years. Unfortunately the research picture is complicated. Screen time alone isn’t enough to predict mental health problems. But our usage patterns — our deeper relationship to our phones — do.
It would be convenient if phones were completely terrible for everyone, like radioactive waste. Then we could shoot them into the sun and be done with it. Unfortunately it seems like they’re genuinely helpful with only small side effects for some (lucky) people.
This screener is to help you take stock of whether you’re one of the lucky ones, or one of the rest of us.
